There are many fantastic walks to enjoy around Norfolk.
Whether you’re looking for a short family walk, for exercise, a challenging walk for personal achievement or for charity fundraising, you can find the right walk for you right here.
On NorfolkPlaces we feature walks that our team have actually taken, and we try to include plenty of photos to give you an idea about the walks are like and what you may see. We have also included some walks just over the border in the neighbouring counties of Suffolk and Cambridgeshire too.
On most walks we have included some “field notes” (such as facilities, safety, & distance) at the end of each walk to help. There is no substitute for researching a walk yourself but we hope our articles help.
Note, on a few walks they extended over more than one article (often to accommodate extra photos) – rather than include these extra article here there will be a link in the “part one” of these walks.
Short Walks
Quick walks up to 3 miles located throughout the region, perfect for filling a short space of time or including with an other activity. Indeed, some of the walks included here are at “things to do” destinations, like stately homes and nature reserves. Also, some members of the family may not be able to walk too far, so these short distances will be ideal family walks.
Moderate Walks
Moderate distance walks are between 4 -9 miles. Really enjoyable trails that can take a few hours to complete. Great way to get the family out for a stroll. Pack something to eat and drink, rain-macs etc and off you go!
Long Distance Trails
These are the biggies – Walks of an epic scale! These long distance trails need some serious planning and are not to undertaken lightly. We’re so proud that members of our team (including the junior members) have taken on these challenges.
