The summer holidays are in full swing! If you’re looking to plan a family day out that keeps little legs moving and sparks big imaginations then we’ve got the perfect suggestion for you. Head to ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure, the UKโs largest dinosaur-themed park, with many outdoor activities as well as indoor attractions and youโll spoiled for choice for fun things to do.
But where should you start? Well, NorfolkPlaces can help! From splash zones to soft play and prehistoric trails, we’ve rounded up our top 10 must-do attractions at Roarr! that parents of young children wonโt want to miss.
Whilst this is our top ten, they’re not in order (we couldn’t decide!), and there’s so much more fun things to do we could’ve added more!

1. Valley of the Dinosaurs
Step into a prehistoric world where life-sized dinosaurs lurk among the trees. This immersive trail is one of the parkโs highlights, letting children come face-to-face with roaring animatronic creatures in a woodland setting. Itโs equal parts thrilling and educational, making it ideal for curious young dino fans. Parents should note itโs one of the larger walking areas, so it might be best tackled early in the day before little legs tire!

2. Dinomite Indoor Adventure Play
Rain or shine, this huge indoor soft play centre is a lifesaver for parents. Kids can scramble through tunnels, tackle slides and burn off energy in a safe, padded environment. Itโs especially perfect for toddlers and younger children who may not be ready for bigger rides. Expect it to get busy around lunchtimeโso plan your visit strategically.

3. Dippyโs Splash Zone
When the sunโs out, this is where youโll find the happiest (and wettest) kids in the park. Dippyโs Splash Zone is packed with water jets, fountains and playful features designed for younger visitors. Itโs a brilliant way to cool down and reset after exploring the park. Bring spare clothesโbecause no child leaves dry!

4. Dippyโs Raceway
Got a mini speed demon in the family? This kid-friendly go-kart track lets little drivers take the wheel and race around a safe circuit. Itโs a fun challenge that all the family can enjoy, and a fun change of pace from climbing and exploring. Expect lots of giggles – and maybe a little friendly competition!

5. Predator High Ropes
Older children with a sense of adventure will love this treetop challenge, with rope bridges, wobbling traverses and zip lines through the tree canopy. The course is a test of balance, coordination and bravery as kids navigate obstacles above the ground. THere is a lower course for younger explorers too. As with some attractions, height restrictions apply. Parents of younger children can watch from belowโor cheer loudly for moral support!

6. Swing-O-Saurus
This gentle thrill ride is perfect for younger children dipping their toes into theme park fun. Riders swing back and forth in a dinosaur-themed attraction thatโs exciting without being overwhelming, and is a great attraction that all the family can ride together. It also has some of the best treetop views in the park! Expect smiles, squeals and requests to go again.

7. Raptor Contraptor
For kids ready to level up the excitement, this quirky carousel ride delivers twists, turns and plenty of laughs as you fly like a pterodactyl. Itโs still family-friendly but adds a bit more adrenaline than the gentler attractions. Many parents find itโs the perfect middle ground between toddler rides and bigger thrills. Bonus: itโs accessible too, making it inclusive for more families.

8. Dippy’s Jurassic Putt Crazy Golf
A calmer activity that still keeps kids engaged, this themed mini golf course is packed with prehistoric flair. Expect imaginative obstacles and plenty of chances for little ones to practise coordination. Itโs ideal for a mid-day breather between high-energy attractions. Plus, itโs something the whole family can enjoy together. Just keep an eye on your ball in case the dinosaurs eat it!

9. Dippy & Friends Live Show
Need a sit-down moment? This live theatre show featuring Dippy and friends is a firm favourite with younger visitors. Expect colourful characters, music and interactive fun that keeps kids engaged. Itโs also a great chance for parents to recharge while the children are entertained. Donโt miss the meet-and-greet opportunities afterwards.

10. Fossil Falls (NEW for 2026)
One of the newest additions to the park, Fossil Falls is already shaping up to be a family favourite. This inflatable tubing adventure sends riders gliding down the longest tubing ride in the UK, adding a splash of adrenaline to your day. Itโs longer and more dynamic than many other attractions, making it ideal for slightly older children (height restrictions apply.) If youโre visiting in peak season, head here early to beat the queues.
The Final Roarrrr!
With over 25 rides and attractions all included in one ticket, ROARR! Dinosaur Adventure is designed for full-day family funโespecially for children aged 0โ12. Whether your little ones want to splash, climb, race or meet dinosaurs, thereโs something here to keep every age entertained. The only thing left for us to say is, prepare for a day of big adventures and even bigger roars!
