Sundown Restaurant Coming to The Grove Cromer

After the tribulations of the past year, a year lost to the Covid-19 pandemic, it’s nice to have something to look forward to.

As the nation moves forward with the vaccine programme and the Brexit dust settles, local businesses can start to plan ahead, hopeful and eager to get going again (when Boris says we can!)

Spring is a traditionally a time when the world seems a brighter place. New fluffy lambs and chicks appear, days are getting longer,  chocolate eggs somehow appear in the shopping basket (especially if I’m shopping with my kids), and generally there’s a positive vibe as the New Year finally kicks in to gear.

Indeed, this year we’re all looking for the positives more so than normal, and that positive vibe was enhanced for us when we received an update about a new outdoor eating venue in North Norfolk.

Sundown The Grove Cromer

The news of the an building progress of Sundown at The Grove, Cromer certainly brightened a chilly February day cooped up at home for me, and encouraged thoughts of warmer more social days to come. Okay, it also made me feel a bit hungry too!

As you can see from the picture above, it looks brilliant. The Sundown restaurant will be serving Norfolk tapas, lobster, pizza and ice-cream, in these giant permanent tipis on the lawn of The Grove. The Grove is renowned for good food, so we’re Sundown will be bring a mix of great food and a fantastic outdoor dining experience. You can see updates on how the building work has progressed The Grove’s Sundown Twitter and Instragram channels.

The project is on target to open on May 17th, and has been achieved with the support of New Anglia LEP.

We’re certainly looking forward to hearing more about this exciting project and we’re looking forward to the opening the Sundown restaurant at The Grove Cromer. Roll on May!
