Information
As Norfolk’s third largest settlement, King’s Lynn is steeped in history. Records suggest that there was a market taking place in King’s Lynn long before proper records were kept, and the oldest recorded instance of a market is to a “Sand Market” in 1104, and “Charter Market” is mentioned in a Charter from King John in 1205.
Weekly Market
There is a weekly market in King’s Lynn on a Tuesday. Stalls are sited on the Tuesday Market Place.
Merchants Market (formerly the Farmer’s Market)
The Merchants Market is held at Tuesday Market Place on the last Saturday of every month from April to September, and returns in December for a festive Merchant’s Market.
The market includes local food and drink producers (such as artisan gin, locally-produced wines and spirits, fruit, vegetables, jams, chutneys, and honey), craft traders, homeware, fashion and more. There will occasionally be live music performed during the market too.
