Redgrave & Lopham Fen National Nature Reserve is the largest remaining river valley fen in England and the source of the River Waveney, supporting a diverse range of plants and animals.
Explore the areas of woodland, heath and even follow the river Waveney that rises here. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast or just keen to get outside there is always something to enjoy here. There is over 270 plant species to be found at Redgrave and Lopham Fen, and many birds and inspects can be spotted by the keen eye. This is also one of the places you may be able to see the fen raft spider.
Dogs are allowed but must be on a lead at all times. Dogs are not allowed to swim due to the protected species and the control of invasive species.
