Information
Attleborough was awarded a Charter by King Henry III in 1226 and has held a Thursday Market in the Town ever since. The Charter market is held in front of the Town Hall in Queens Square, but can continue for themed markets, to the Car Park and The Green of Queens Square.
The market consists of a fish vending trailer, Full stalls, Candy Striped stalls and traditional, wooden barrows, many of which are for hire from the Town Hall. The ‘Makers Market’ joins the Charter Market every 2nd and 4th Thursday of the month in the Town Hall main Chamber.
