The area of Mid-Norfolk and Brecks is as rich in heritage as the more well-known areas of the county, and this combined with a peaceful rural landscape makes this part of Norfolk a fascinating place to visit. Alongside areas of North and West Norfolk, the mid-Norfolk area is very much at the heart of Norfolk’s modern farming community, contrast that to The Brecks, which is considered an unusual and rare natural habitat, with swathes of gorse-covered sandy heath towards the south of Norfolk (and in to north Suffolk) providing unusual flora and fauna.
