Help for Charities

At NorfolkPlaces we aim to support the work of charities across East Anglia by providing our services to you for free. We have created special types of listings for you, which will be included alongside our other listings in our Places, Clubs/Classes and Events sections. Additionally, we also have a community section to specifically promote the work of charities in our community.

Please note, this is only provided to registered charities in the U.K.


Charitable Organisation Listing

A profile listing for charitable organisations, which can include details of how to get involved and donation info.

Place Listing

Choose this option to add Places To Visit ran by your charity that the public visit. Examples are charity shops, nature reserves, and zoos.

Once a Charitable Organisation or Charity Place Listing has been created you don’t need to do anything, though we recommend logging in occasionally to update the information.

Please note, our charitable organisations section focuses on Health & Care, Social & Relations Services, Environment and Animals, Education, Arts & Culture.


NOTE: Clicking these buttons will pre-select the correct listing package for you.

IMPORTANT: Charity listings are not available to other users, therefore these packages are not visible on package selection. Please ignore the package choice section when creating your listing.


Classes/Activities Listing

If your charity regularly run scheduled activities (e.g. coffee groups, fitness/wellbeing groups) these can be added here.

Event Listings

Here is where you can list one-off or recurring events such as fundraising days, charity walks, fetes, talks etc.

Classes/Activities and Events are listed for one year (events appear until after the event date). They can be renewed, and a renewal reminder is sent a few days before the renewal date.
It is important to add admin@norfolkplaces.co.uk to your contacts or/and safe senders list so that important communications such as your renewal reminder are received. (We don’t chase up on missed renewals.)

Managing your listings

All your listings can be managed from your own profile page.

To access, login, then click on “My Account” and then “My listings & Profile“. Here, you will be able to access all your listings, which are organised under tabs. The “Place” tab is shown by default, and this will include your Charitable Organisations and Charity Place listings. Click on other tabs such as “events” to see your other listings.

To make changes to your listing, open the listing and click the “edit” button the right. Make your changes and click “submit”. Done!

TIP 1 – When creating your listings you can link to your other posts. For example, on Events you will be able to link to a Place listing. Simply start typing the name of your organisation or place in to the “Link Posts: Place” field. This will create reciprocal links between these listings.
