Get Into Golf with Golf Tuition at Barnham Broom

The team at Barnham Broom are on a mission: to introduce more people to golf through its participation in the Get into Golf scheme which is led by England Golf.

By offering an excellent range of tuition options from resident experts Alan Hemsley and Ellie Brown, the aim is to make golf more accessible and give potential golfers the confidence to try out a
new sport.

Barnham Broom Golf

As England Golf puts it: “Golf. That’s a game for middle age men in plaid trousers, right? Wrong. Golf is a great game for everyone. It’s fun, gets you fit, reduces stress and offers full lungs of fresh
air. A round of golf can take you away from the hassles of everyday life and focus your mind. And it’s great for having a laugh with friends and making new ones. The famous 19th hole is a place to enjoy a drink, discuss your game and meet your future opponents.”

So, there’s a lot more to golf than meets the eye. Barnham Broom is an advocate of health and wellbeing with combined memberships for both the golf courses and The Edge Health & Fitness Club
available, allowing members to enjoy time in the pool, a session in the gym or a round out on the course – promoting the importance of getting active and the positive impact that exercise and fresh
air can have on mental health.

Golf is also a great opportunity to get social, meet new people and get involved in a community. In addition, the club has a strong women’s section and plenty of social events to go alongside this. It
also has one of the strongest teams of golfing women around with Deputy Head Greenkeeper, Kimberley Yeldham, Karen Woodrow liaising with members and supporting the club and, of course,
Ellie Brown; a young PGA Pro with a lot of ambition.

Ellie Brown, PGA Pro

forward to working with both members and visitors alike.

Do you have to be a member to play?
Visitors are very welcome to come and play a round or book tuition with Alan or Ellie, allowing people to come and try out the game of golf without any commitments – but quite often, one game
or lesson turns into an enthusiastic hobby, and for good reason. Golf tuition starts from just £20 for a private lesson.
