Information
Started in 2008, The Norwich Choir (formerly known as Norwich Community Choir) have grown under the leadership of choir director Meg Turpin. We now achieve a polished, but fun performance and enjoy making beautiful music together.
This local choir is for anyone who love singing, has no auditions and many non-music reading members- we are living proof that we all have music inside us. We meet each week to sing together in Norwich, with groups meeting on Tuesday evenings and/or Thursday daytime.
We perform a variety of songs from around the world and many of our members enjoy performing with the choir at local community and charity events.

I’ve been a member of this choir for several years now & it’s one of the best things I’ve ever done. I love singing and have gained in confidence since attending regularly. There are 3 groups who make up the choir and you can go to any of the sessions, I usually go on a Monday evening in Eaton, but there are also groups on Tuesday evening in Sprowston and Thursday lunchtime in Norwich. There is no need to read music and we learn most songs by ear. Words and sound files are available for anyone who want to practice and you can take part in performances if you want to. Everyone is really friendly in this choir – I’ve made some new friends and improved my social life since joining!
