Barnham Broom’s Executive Head Chef, James Conway, has been an avid supporter of Norwich City Football Club over the years and was, like so many, over the moon when Norwich was promoted to the Premier League on Saturday after beating Blackburn 2-1.
To celebrate, Barnham Broom, which is famous for its expertly crafted afternoon teas, is serving a Canaries themed afternoon tea throughout May. Delicious cakes, reflecting the green and yellow of the team, have been designed by James Conway and his team of pastry chefs.
The afternoon tea includes a selection of finger sandwiches, including a lightly spiced green and yellow hummus sandwich, and freshly baked cherry scones and a savoury scone of cheese and sun-blush tomatoes.
However, the real show stopper is the delectable array of cakes on offer. Enjoy key lime pie tartlet with baby meringue, pistachio and lemon macarons (which are to die for!), lemon and lime drizzle cake and a mango and passionfruit cheesecake.
James Conway has previously worked with Jamie Oliver and loves adding extra flair and depth to his dishes.
Guests can enjoy afternoon tea in the relaxed lounge or Valley Bar overlooking the two 18-hole golf courses or can head out onto the terrace which boasts beautiful views and comfortable seating.
The special Norwich City Afternoon Tea is available 1st-31st May 2019 from £15.95 for traditional afternoon tea and is also available Monday-Friday from £10 as Barnham Broom’s Afternoon Tea Experience offering, which provides a dainty version of the full afternoon tea.
Afternoon tea is served with a fine selection of loose-leaf teas or a cafetière of freshly ground coffee. Guests can also upgrade their afternoon tea with a cocktail, G&T, Pimm’s, Aperol Spritz or Champagne afternoon tea for an even more memorable experience.
Combine afternoon tea with a day at Barnham Broom indulging in The Spa, using the leisure facilities or playing a round of golf.
